OPENING CEREMONY OF THE NEW MADRESSA AND HALLS
FOR MEN ON SATURDAY 7TH MAY 2011
FOR WOMEN ON SUNDAY 8TH MAY 2011
MEN PROGRAM STARTS AT 11.30 AM WITH LUNCH AT MUSLIM RESOURCE
CENTRE, RED LANE, COVENTRY, FOLLOWED BY ZUHAR AT 2.30 PM AND THEN
SPEECHES, NAAT, KIRAYAT AND NASHEED BY ULEMAS.
WOMEN PROGRAM STARTS AT 11.00 AM ON SUNDAY IN THE NEW BUILDING
WITH SPEECHES, NAAT, NASHEED AND GUIDED TOUR. THIS IS THEN
FOLLOWED BY LUCH AT THE MUSLIM RESOURCE CENTRE, RED LANE,
COVENTRY BETWEEN 12.30 AND 2.30PM.
Having acquired the occupancy certificate
from the Coventry City Council, we were able to open our new madressa for the
children back in November 2010.
Right now you will see there is work in
progress on outside of the building. Anew minarate has been manufactured and
erected. This is now a beacon for all Muslims of Coventry.
Though there was some work that needed to
be done internally. Most that work is now complete, and we are delighted to
inform all readers that, Alhumdullilah,
the madressa and the new halls are now completed and we are planning to have an
open day for the new building for men on Saturday the 7th May and
for women on Sunday 8th May 2011.
The whole project was started by our elders
some six years previously. And here a special recognition goes to the elders, who had worked with great vision and fikar for the future of
Muslims of Coventry. Not to mention scores of local Muslims who have
contributed with their efforts over the years.
The completion of the project is due to the
will of Allah SWT, but we cannot forget the sacrifice which people of Coventry
made, not only financially but also with their humble duaas.
We would fail badly if attempted to name,
who contributed to the success of this new building. So many has passed away;
may Allah SWT grant them the highest place in Janah.
What surprised us the most was the manner
in which the sum £1.5 million was raised. Every time we made an appeal, people
responded from nowhere! People walked in to the Masjid and left us with from £1
to £2000 on many occasions; so many people did not even tell us who they were!
Right now we have work going on to cement
coping stones on the retaining walls outside the new building. Also there is
work in progress to finish tarmacking, and landscaping the waste land adjacent
to the mortuary.
We also had to urgently replace the flat
roof on the old masjid; this was 21 years old.

There are still those who continue to
contribute to the project via direct debit and that will help to meet any costs
that may arise.
Our humble duaas for all those who have
contributed towards the project. May Allah SWT give all the best of rewards not
only in this duniya but also in the grave and the akhera. May Allah SWT protect
you from the stress of the final day of reckoning. May you all be given the
sweet water of the Kausar by none other than the final messenger Muhammed STAW.
May you all meet all your loved ones in Jannah and live there forever.
